Leading Innovation and Change in Healthcare Education (Dentistry) module (CM50164)

The aim of this module is to facilitate critical analysis and application of current thinking in leadership, managing change and innovation in dental education (at both undergraduate and postgraduate level) and practice.
 

By the end of this module, students should be able to:

• Critically appraise the contemporary knowledge and understanding of the literature and theories in relation to leadership, the management of change and innovation in dental education.
• Explore and critically reflect on leadership, innovation and change-management principles and the application of theory into practice in the dental education context.
• Propose and implement an educational change project, incorporating evidence-based practice and strategies into dental education in their own workplace.
• Critically reflect upon their own planning, preparation and delivery of leading and implementing a change in dental education.
• Critically evaluate the contribution of leadership, innovation and change management within dental education to support learning in the workplace.
